City Stars Road Trip

In 2000 we took an RV up to Vancouver with the City Stars crew, it was like having your very own party bus. The trip went great until on the way home about 2 hours outside of LA the front wheel of the RV popped off while going about 70 mph down the highway!! We were swerving all over the place and sparks were flying everywhere!! I grabbed on to a baby P Rod thinking I was saving him from flying out of the window but really I was choking him, when we finally skidded into a ditch we were all laughing so hard, I don´t think we considered the seriousness of the situation until a few hours later. Good thing DJ Speed was driving (He´s a massive dude that used to DJ for NWA) he controlled everything and kept us from flying all over the place. Look at those jackets, we´re like a boy band!!

Clowning around in Mexico City

We went on a Stamina tour to Mexico City in 1998 or 99, Julio De La Cruz was showing us around,taking us skating, showing us the pyramids at Teotihuacan and we took a road trip over to Acapulco, I can´t say we did too much skating on this trip, but it was awesome. Here are Julio and Fabian messing around in the supermarket parking lot, Last I heard Julio was the mayor of some small town outside of LA and Fabian just came home after doing 8 years in the pen, welcome home Fabian!!

Bottle Popping in Switzerland!!

This was in Lausanne in 2001, we were there for the Grand Prix contest which was always super fun. Here we are in the Movenpick hotel in Ouchy living it up, Fabian Alomar,Sheffey,myself,Kareem,Donny Barley, Caine Gayle,Joey Suriel and a few other homies. I made some great friends in Lausanne and try to go back to visit whenever I can, it has been a while since I´ve been there. Big shout out to Jason and Basile over at 242. It´s good to hold on to great memories, live in the moment as much as possible and look forward to great things in the future,life is incredible!!

Double Trouble

Every summer we used to drive up to Vancouver, Canada for the "Slam City Jam" contest, Vancouver is amazing, one of my favorite cities. All kinds of hijinx would go on up there, I think Sheffey and Chico would get into a fight at least once every year,these dudes can throw down! Two of the dopest skaters without a doubt,style for miles,just don't piss them off! 98

Young mackin...

When I first moved back to SF from Detroit I didn't really have any friends, I used to skate alone down by my house out on 48th ave,a pretty boring neighborhood. One day I was out skating and Karl Watson, Lavar & Marcus McBride and a bunch of other guys came to my neighborhood to skate, and I recognized Karl from school, I met them all and was tripping on how good they were, I mean they were doing tricks I had never even seen before. Karl was already doing noseblunt slides on red curbs,I couldn't even grasp the concept. Karl and I got to talking and we met the next day and after school he took me to his house to hook me up with some much needed skate product, it was crazy he was already sponsored (So since the first day I met him he has been sponsored and killing it,thats about 19 years ago) After his house we went down to EMB, I was tripping, I got home so late that when I arrived the police were there, after that I was at EMB everyday. I tell that story a lot,thanks Karl.Nothing too crazy but a great memory. here we are macking at Pier 7 a few years later, maybe around 94-95,not too sure...dreaded up.

Kareem Campbell is one of the most stylish and charismatic skaters to ever set foot on a board, this contest was somewhere in Germany, or maybe Switzerland, not to sure. I caught Reem in this flick right before he was going out to do his thing on the course,I love the yellow doo rag I think this was around 2000-2001.

Keenans house....

Keenan was basically the best dude that ever lived.  His house was the place to be, his door was never locked, I remember you could just roll up to his house anytime and walk in, grab a beer out of the fridge and sit down on the couch, a few minutes later Keenan would stumble out of his room with a hot chick,and he would be happy to see you, its tough to say if that kind of lifestyle is wrong or right, we all want to have  fun but there are consequences that come with everything we do, here we are in Keenans house,just a normal night,the woman to my bottom left is Diana, she is married to my best friend Sam Smyth,they have a beautiful lil boy named Sunny,god I love him,fuck i'm rambling...

First time in Europe
